How to be content and happy?

To lead a life filled with contentment and happiness, we should aspire to be like a swan. In Hindu mythology, a swan is revered for its ability to separate milk from water, symbolising the discernment between positive and negative qualities. If we approach life with the mindset of a swan, focusing only on the positive traits of others while letting go of their negative aspects, we cultivate a more enriching existence.

Imagine if our ears were selective, listening only to enlightening conversations and disregarding negativity. When we function with wisdom like that of a swan—not like a crow or a heron—we nurture lasting contentment. Conversely, if we adopt undesirable traits from others or approach life with a negative attitude, much like a crow or a heron, our happiness can easily diminish. Therefore, we should see ourselves as royal yogis or majestic swans, dedicated to embracing the good in others. In doing so, we can ensure our happiness remains intact.

It is a profound realization that to live as a royal swan enhances our contentment. Nevertheless, in our journey, our happiness can sometimes wane.

To foster a consistent state of joy, we must actively cultivate positive thoughts. Let us revel in the knowledge that we are all children of the Supreme Soul, Shiv Baba.

The teachings of the supreme soul are intended to bring joy to our souls. It’s essential to acknowledge that among the 900 million people in this world, the supreme soul, has chosen us—a remarkable gift in itself. Our fortune is indeed extraordinary, and we are on a path guided by that good fortune. Shiv Baba has entrusted us with an abundance of treasures and has committed to nurturing our growth by correcting our wrongs.

In light of this, we should focus on being grateful for the connection we have with the Father of all creation, the ruler of the universe. What more could we possibly desire? When we attain connection with the divine, we gain everything. Therefore, let us bask in this truth and embrace the happiness that comes with it.
