How to serve others happily?

Image
Serving others should be filled with love and happiness. Our purpose is to serve, as it is our duty. When our intention is to have fun, we truly enjoy ourselves. Whatever our intention during an action may be, we need to accept it and be honest with Baba. I believe that having fun can also be a form of service to God, as we remain consistent in our intentions. So, why am I interested in making others happy? Because ShivBaba says he will grant a certificate if everyone is happy. Do we fulfill everything that everyone asks of us?  No, we do not. Baba guides us on what to do. Today, my thoughts have been occupied with requests from someone to do something, unlike the usual focus on my daily routine. I typically concentrate fully on my tasks at hand, particularly when I’m writing. However, today, my mind is filled with what someone else said. Ultimately, whatever I am doing is for my own benefit. I will reap the rewards of my efforts. If I spend my time on something, it is my choice, a...

Being Hanuman

Image
I am a soul. I can be whatever I want based on my present karma. I choose to be Mahavir Hanuman.  How do I manifest that? Mahavir Hanuman has a lot of fans even now. It is a remembrance of souls like us who choose to follow a certain set of rules and disciplines for the thoughts, words, and actions to be his living example. Let us review Hanuman's qualities to be like him: 1. Shiv Bhakt As we all know, he was a Shiv Bhakt. So we first need to know about Shiva. Who is Shiva?  Shiva is the Supreme Soul (Paramatma), a formless, incorporeal point of light, distinct from Lord Shiva (Shankar), who is the destroyer within the Hindu Trinity.  Shiva is not a human being but the highest soul, also known as God, who has no creator and resides in the Supreme Abode . He is the spiritual father to all souls, bringing them benefit and liberation. Shankar is a yogi who meditates upon Shiva with so much love that his consciousness becomes one with Shiva, the supreme soul. So, we call...

Having fearless, carefree, determined, peaceful, unshakeable spirit(part 2)

Image
We discussed in the article posted on September 20, why, do people experience worry and fear? What are the types of fears they face today? What signs indicate that someone is suffering from fear and anxiety? Let us continue. We will discuss the remedies in the coming articles. Keep up the follow. 3.  Fear of Situations and Worry About the Future The third type of fear is the fear of various situations that we might encounter in life. Sometimes, our upbringing plays a significant role in shaping our perceptions and responses to challenges. A person might develop a tendency to take even small, everyday events for granted, only to be overtaken by anxiety when faced with unforeseen circumstances. This behavior can trigger a cascade of worries, leading them to inwardly exclaim, "What will happen now? Oh Lord Rama, what will become of me?" Consider the scenario of a mother anxiously awaiting her child's return from school. If her child is late, the mother might initially brush ...

Practice patience to improve wellbeing and decision-making

Image
When a person loses their patience at an inopportune moment, they not only forfeit their ability to make wise decisions but also invite a cascade of complications through their impulsive actions. Their circumstances become precariously unstable, resembling a fragile glass teetering on the edge of a table. Instead of finding relief, the situation deteriorates; conflicts intensify like a raging storm, and problems gradually morph into intricate webs of complexity, making resolution seem elusive. This is why cultivating patience is essential. With patience comes the promise of brighter days, like the first rays of sunlight breaking through a heavy cloud cover. The world around us is a constant whirl of change, a river that never flows the same way twice. If a problem surfaces today, it is likely to dissolve into the ether by tomorrow, as nothing in this ever-shifting landscape is permanent.  What is truly needed is the strength to endure. While someone may engage in hurtful actions to...

Having fearless, carefree, determined, peaceful, unshakeable spirit (part 1)

Image
The best kind of service involves complete dedication and generosity. While meditating, consider whether a person who is a complete renunciate would have any fear. A person who has sacrificed everything, who has nothing to call their own, and who serves everyone humbly and lovingly should not fear anything.  Why, then, do people experience worry and fear? What are the types of fears they face today? What signs indicate that someone is suffering from fear and anxiety? 1 . Fear of Death and Harm to the Body : One common fear is the fear of death. Many people fear suffering from a serious illness or experiencing pain after a negative event. They may worry about their own health and the well-being of their friends. For instance, if a doctor identifies a serious medical condition, the patient’s health may begin to deteriorate further upon hearing this news. They might start to complain and blame the universe for their situation, growing increasingly worried by their fear of death. When ...

Treat others as you would like to be treated

Image
Is it okay to intimidate others or show off your position? Situation : Nowadays, circumstances often require us to act with authority. If we don't assert our authority over our children, spouses, neighbours, subordinates at work, and employees in shops and offcies, life can become chaotic. Without this control, people may become arrogant and defiant, and we may find ourselves vulnerable to their actions. Hence, we may feel the need to maintain control and command respect through a degree of swagger, pressure, or the use of our authority. If we always act with humility, others might view us as timid or weak. So, is this slight arrogance or assertiveness of ours unacceptable? Is it a negative trait? Additionally, those who are older than us at home or higher in rank at work may also attempt to dominate us. We often dislike their arrogance, feeling that they could be inflating our egos. We tend to think quite highly of ourselves, which leads to resentment towards anyone who behaves...

Divine way of life

Image
Intimidating, bullying, or suppressing others due to one's position is not a divine way of life. A truly capable, efficient, dedicated, and enterprising person still shows humility and respects others, leading them to bow willingly. Our goal should not be to force anyone to bow down, but rather to perform our duties with capability and leave our ego behind. In doing so, we remain humble ourselves. When we adopt this attitude, those who work under us will notice that even though we are highly capable and efficient, we approach them with care and respect. They may think to themselves, "Oh, this person is truly great; otherwise, we are nothing in comparison! They love and support us, keeping us close and never belittling us. How wonderful they are; they seem like an angel or a god in human form. We would even give our lives for them!" Our lives should inspire others to work out of love rather than pride. We should strive to be worthy ourselves, work with our own hands, tea...

Re-engineering the self on World Engineers Day

Image
Happy Engineers Day to all of us! Let us explore ourselves today! Exploring the self involves discovering and interrogating our own thoughts to find the inner truth, which is invariable within us. Meditation and connecting with the supreme God, Shiva Baba, is a powerful process for gaining clarity about the self. We witness the thoughts in forms of feelings, emotions, etc., as they come and go. We do not judge; we just accept them as they are. This helps in controlling our feelings, sensations, and thoughts. We can focus on the present task. It calms us and fills us with positivity. We become happy and relieve ourselves of all the thoughts causing us trouble.  It enjoys the company of the supreme. In Ancient India, this technique was known as RajYoga, the best version of yoga of all the types.  Currently, Shiva Baba is imparting this knowledge of Rajyoga at Brahma Kumaris meditation centres.  Rajyoga Meditation online course link Being soul-conscious helps us in realising...

Being happy

Image
What factors contribute to the fading of happiness in our lives, and how can we restore it?  Happiness often emerges like a gentle sunrise when we immerse ourselves in the divine warmth of God's remembrance and thoughtfully reflect on His profound wisdom. Yet, this radiant feeling can be overshadowed by the dense fog of Maya—illusions that distort our reality and cloud our minds. Additionally, the commotion of disordered thoughts or the weight of our past mistakes can create barriers that trap us in negativity.  It can be emotional turmoil, chaotic environments, or the consequences of our own mistakes and misjudgments. To reclaim a sense of joy and fulfillment, it is vital to delve deep into our inner selves, identifying those nagging, unproductive thoughts and habits that siphon our energy. By consciously shining a light upon these distractions—like an artist clearing away the clutter to reveal a beautiful canvas—we can begin to pave a path back to happiness. Embracing this j...

Creating a better environment through calmness

Image
By staying calm, we are already creating a better world by letting minimal thoughts out in our surroundings. Whatever thoughts we make in our minds, whether for a person, object, place, or thing, resonate in the environment and impact the mental state of those around us. So we radiate only peaceful, positive, and blissful thoughts into the environment.  I welcome any criticism that may come my way. I will send good wishes to the situation. It is ok. I will try my best again next time.  Also, staying calm helps us focus on the task at hand. We can curate our response more effectively. We can pay attention to our surroundings with more precision. We can regulate our thoughts and choose positive thoughts over ordinary ones. We can choose our response more easily.  This is a service to humanity, as it will help everyone around to stay calm.  Also, it will help us to create more opportunities in a given time frame by minimising time and energy wastage. Divine way of life: Promoting humility and leadership

Image
To intimidate or overwhelm others is not the way of life; rather, it is the capable, efficient, hard-working, and enterprising individuals who show humility by bowing to others. People naturally respect those who exhibit such qualities. Our goal should not be to force anyone to bow to us but to fulfil our responsibilities with competence and kindness, demonstrating a lack of fear. In doing so, we acknowledge our own humility. When we embody this behaviour, those who work under us will recognise that, despite our capabilities and skills, we choose to engage with everyone—whether they are powerful or not—with respect. They may think, "This person's greatness lies in their humility; otherwise, we would seem insignificant beside them! They show us love and affection, drawing us close rather than making us feel inferior." This is truly admirable; such a person is akin to an angel or a god in human form—someone we would even be willing to sacrifice for! Therefore, our lives sho...

Respect and Humility

Image
He who bows before others, others bow before him. If any friend or relative of yours who is younger than you, due to courtesy, bows before you when you meet, as if he tries to touch your feet by bowing, then what do you do? You bow down from where you are and hold his hand, or you bow down and start lifting him with both your hands. If that younger person doesn’t bow before you, should you bow down to them in return? This clearly illustrates that bowing to others can lead to them bowing to you in return. However, if someone is full of ego and engages in this ritual without genuine humility, no one truly respects them from the heart. Today, people go to temples and bow to gods and goddesses. What is the reason for this? It is believed that these deities had shown humility in their past lives, during the Puroshottam Sangamyug. Because of this humility, millions of people bow down to them in every lifetime, paying their respects. These gods and goddesses are considered worthy of reverence...

Generosity

Image
GENEROSITY  Only a generous person can truly make sacrifices. Just as generous individuals willingly donate money, they can also let go of wasteful thoughts and physical consciousness. This indicates that true sacrifice can only come from a generous spirit. A gracious person's sacrifices benefit themselves and others; they utilise their body, mind, and wealth efficiently for charity, the welfare of others, or for the sake of a higher purpose.    To truly embrace the virtue of sacrifice, one must first cultivate generosity within oneself. For purity and meaningful sacrifice, immense generosity is required. Those who are exceptionally generous and open-hearted in their sacrifices will be the most fortunate. The essence of generosity lies in its ability to create great fortune. When the heart is filled with generosity, the potential for fortune grows. Conversely, if one possesses only a small amount of generosity, even their fortune (in terms of health, wealth, and happiness...

National Teachers day with the supreme teacher

Image
Have you ever thought about the most influential teacher in your life, guiding you even when you were unaware? 🎓✨ Teachers’ Day is a heartfelt tribute to the educators who shape our minds and inspire our spirits, a time to honor those guiding lights who illuminate our journeys. From our very first tentative steps into a classroom filled with the scent of fresh chalk and excitement, through the intricate labyrinth of adolescence, and into the multifaceted challenges of adulthood, teachers play an indispensable role in sculpting the essence of who we are. Yet, amidst the heartfelt accolades for our human mentors, there exists one profound guide who often remains in the shadows—the Supreme Teacher, God, metaphorically described as a Point of Divine Light. This eternal presence walks alongside us, illuminating our paths and whispering wisdom at every twist and turn of our lives’ journey. Who Is the Ideal Teacher? An ideal teacher transcends the mere act of delivering knowledge. They are t...

Imbibe the virtue of patience in daily life

Image
People worsen many situations due to their overprotection or haste. If someone at home has a fever and the temperature rises slightly, they sit quietly and sometimes say, 'Call this doctor.' Sometimes he says, 'I don't know why that doctor was late in coming.' Call the third one. When three doctors gather, he will again become confused and scold someone, saying, 'Why did you not stop such and such doctor from coming?' The sick person took medicines for two days, but if there is no improvement in his condition, then he will say, "Leave this doctor; he is useless; we will get treated by someone else." So see, as a result of not being patient, expenses will also be higher, the doctor will also be angry, the sick person will get troubled by getting treated by many doctors, and time will also be wasted.  Similarly, when a person does some work, he wishes that its fruits come out quickly. If there is a little delay in it or there is some delay in yieldin...

Keep the eye of knowledge open

Image
When the physical eyes are open, you can see the world of this body, i.e., physical persons and objects. Now, if you keep the eye of knowledge also open along with these, then soul, god, afterlife, religion, salvation, liberation, etc., will not be hidden from you. What I mean by 'eye of knowledge' is that we learn there is a soul in every body. If this knowledge is put to use, then it will be like the eye of knowledge is open. Just as some people keep money locked in a safe and do not use it, nor do they enjoy happiness, similarly, some people leave this knowledge, also like wisdom, locked in a safe and do not use or apply it. This is closing the eye of knowledge. We all recognise our physical homes through our physical eyes. If my eye of knowledge is open, I know that the house of all the souls is the supreme abode, Paramdham, where the souls live with the supreme soul. To go there, I must keep my eyes of knowledge open always.  If your parents appear in fro...
