When Contentment Becomes a Crown

Image
In a previous blog, we discussed the importance of remaining content, because all forms of soul-level happiness are the highest. Among all divine virtues, contentment is the crown jewel. Just as a man’s ornaments may be valuable and beautiful, the crown is that special jewel through which he experiences the fortune and dignity of a kingdom. In the same way, contentment is the king of all virtues, for a content person is happy like a king. There are kings whose treasuries are full, yet they are not truly happy. A contented person, however, is a unique kind of king who possesses a full treasure of happiness. Even if such a person lacks material comforts, people still look at his “crown” of contentment and steady happiness and feel that he is always full. Conversely, when people see a king who is unhappy and discontented, even the poor feel pity for him.   The treasure of a kingdom may give happiness only to the king, not to others. But contentment is a divine virtue that not o...

The Strength of Politeness and Patience

Image
Sometimes in life, we face situations where we have done something, or we have given a lot of help, but another person, while praising himself in front of everyone, says, “I have done this and that. If I had not done this, then this would not have happened,” and so on. He barely mentions our support, and even if he does, he does it in such a way that he still wants to take all the credit for the work himself. Instead of appreciating our efforts or offering support, he points out only the mistakes in our work. We then become frustrated by his wrongdoing. We feel that, at the very least, we should be able to describe our own contribution correctly, even if not in great detail, and teach this person a lesson. Is this self-condemnation? Will this also be counted as ego? How do we resolve the thought that arises in our mind: “This person is trying to pull us down and elevate himself”? Solution   If we throw something into the ocean, it may appear to sink down from the surface due to the...

The divine virtue of politeness-How Politeness Makes You Truly Great

Image
How to Truly Become Polite and Humble   What should we really remember if we want to develop true politeness within ourselves? There is one simple, powerful thought: “I am a servant of the world, always in God’s service.” When we carry this feeling in our heart, where is the place for ego? A person who sees themselves as a servant of all: listens to people’s joys and sorrows,   supports them in their ups and downs, and keeps serving without expecting anything in return. Today, the biggest service we can do is to help awaken divine qualities in ourselves and in others. God’s Loving Declaration of Service Parampita Paramatma Shiv — the Supreme Father, the Master of the three worlds, the One who knows the beginning, middle, and end of everything… He is: the Ocean of Knowledge , the Ocean of Peace , the Ocean of Bliss , the Purifier , and the Almighty Authority . Today, He speaks through the mouth of Prajapita Brahma and says: “I am always available for...

Becoming Like Deities: The Journey from Ego to Politeness

Image
Apart from this, in the Golden Age and the Silver Age, there was an incomparable, limitless wealth – not just of money and possessions, but of virtues, happiness, and inner satisfaction. Every soul was overflowing with purity, royalty, and divine dignity. What is today’s wealth in comparison to that? Today, even those we call kings, ministers, and so-called “royals” are actually poor in the true sense. They may have money, status, and external comfort, but their hearts are empty and restless. Compared to that elevated Satyugi stage, our present condition is such that we are not even equal to the servants of that time.   The same applies to family, lineage, and caste. Today, no matter how high, respected, or powerful a family or caste may appear, they are all lower than the Satyugi Suryavanshi dynasties or the Silver-Age Chandravanshi dynasties. Why? Because today’s lineages are filled with the vices of lust, anger, greed, attachment, and ego. Every house is full of conflict, sorrow...

Egoless Living: Finding Peace Amidst Wealth and Status

Image
In our previous blog, we discussed the importance of remaining in our original, incorporeal, pure, and peaceful form. However, today’s world is so engrossed in the pursuit of money and wealth. Many people, when they acquire substantial wealth, develop a subtle sense of ego—the feeling of “I am rich.” In modern society, we often address each other by titles such as 'Thakur Ji,' 'Sharma Ji,' 'Chatterjee Sahab,' 'Kriplani Sahab,' or 'Mister Menon.' When introducing friends, people frequently highlight their status: “He is a landlord, his father is a governor, or he is a famous political leader and writer.” Such customs foster an environment where ego is built around money, status, and a little fame. Let us discuss a few ways to remain egoless while fulfilling our daily responsibilities. How can we free ourselves from the ego of money, status, and position? If even knowledgeable and yogic individuals are swayed by ego in such circumstances, what have...

Beyond Roles: Embracing Soul Consciousness for a Life Without Ego

Image
Transcending the ego doesn’t require us to relinquish our positions or the recognition that comes with them. Instead, we are encouraged to embrace our original identity as children of the Supreme, the Almighty Father, the supreme soul. By remembering this fundamental truth, we can navigate our daily lives with a sense of purpose.  Consider the metaphor of an actor on stage. When tasked with the role of a king, the actor immerses himself in that character, yet he remains aware that he is not actually a king—he is simply a person performing a part in a larger narrative. If he confuses his role with reality, acting as if he were truly a king, observers might question his sanity. Similarly, though we each take on various roles in our lives—whether as lawyers, doctors, judges, or any profession—we must maintain the awareness that beneath these roles, we are all souls from the supreme Abode, playing out our parts in this grand Drama.   When we nurture soul consciousness, it naturall...

Humility: The True Path to Divine Leadership

Image
The essence of a divine life transcends the need to dominate or intimidate others. True divinity shines through those who, despite their capabilities, choose to engage humbly with those around them. A person who is hard-working, competent, and entrepreneurial naturally inspires respect and admiration when they approach others with humility.   Instead of seeking to make others bow to us through power or authority, our focus should be on personal growth and the cultivation of a genuine, ego-free demeanor. When we embody this spirit, those we lead or assist recognize our humility and are drawn to us. They see that even a person of great ability can treat everyone with kindness, fostering an environment of admiration and loyalty. When people notice that we engage with them warmly, regardless of their position, they begin to appreciate our character. They may think, “He is truly remarkable; despite being capable, he treats us as equals, showing us respect and empathy.” This kind of lead...

Transcending Ego

Image
The ego associated with one's family lineage, caste, and nationality is rooted in body consciousness. From a spiritual perspective, the soul belongs to the family of God, the Supreme Soul. By this definition, all souls are brothers and sisters. The true nationality of all souls exists in Paramdham, Parlok, and Brahmalok, and their caste is incorporeal and in point form.   However, when individuals identify solely with their physical body, they may develop an ego stemming from their birth in a so-called "high-class" family, their origins from Rajasthan—known for its courageous Rajputs—or their caste identity as Thakur, among other identifiers. If one remembers their divine family as a point of light and embraces the peaceful world of Paramdham, alongside their soulful connections, they are less likely to cling to the egos tied to nationality, family, or caste. Likewise, considerations of money, status, fame, and position are all associated with the body. In the role of a l...

Politeness and Soul-consciousness

Image
You might think that many famous individuals and scientists, who take pride in their knowledge, become entangled in body consciousness. Knowledge teaches us, "I am a soul, not this body; I am a child of the Supreme Soul, Shiv Baba." The essence of yoga is to maintain the awareness that we are all children of this Supreme Soul, the ocean of peace and bliss, a being free from vices—the incorporeal being of light known as Shiv Baba, whom we affectionately call God, Bhagwan, or Allah. He descends to Earth in the form of Brahma Baba to impart this wisdom. Thus, we cannot develop ego after hearing His words, which are meant for the 9 billion souls currently living on Earth. Similarly, ‘dhyan’ or divine vision teaches us that we become pure like angels by internalizing these divine virtues. The concept of 'Godly food' encourages us to surrender everything to God and to accept it only as prasad.   If we acquire this knowledge correctly—recognizing ourselves as points of light...
