Recording our destiny in the Confluence Age

Image
When someone sits in front of a camera to have their picture taken, they sit carefully, dress neatly, remain still so the photo doesn’t get spoiled, and smile so that the mood in the picture looks good. In the same way, Shiv Baba says that this present time, the most auspicious Confluence Age, is when the film of our actions for future births is being recorded and our destiny is being created. If we keep this awareness, our state of mind will not become restless. By remembering this, our mind will not be disturbed; instead, it will stay stable and peaceful. Hatha yogis and Tatva yogis say that when people sit for yoga practice, they should sit straight, keep their eyes closed, and not move their bodies. But Shiv Baba says that a Rajyogi should go beyond body-consciousness, should not let the mind waver, and should not merely close the eyes. Rather, while seeing this Kaliyugi world, they should sharpen the focus of the mind. In this way, the state of mind remains steady. Shiv Baba...

What are the ways to acquire stability and a constant, flowing state of mind?

Image
Ways to Acquire Stability Shiv Baba has shared many priceless ways to achieve this. Shiv Baba says that we should see this world as a stage and imagine that all 9 billion souls on this earth are watching the part I am playing. In this way, all our attention will remain on our karmas, and by staying attentive, our state of mind will remain good and stable. Consider a man who is sitting on a stage along with the speakers. While listening to the speech, he starts feeling sleepy and is overcome by waves of laziness. But the moment he remembers, or someone reminds him, that the entire audience is looking at him, he immediately sits up alert, thinking about what the audience will think of him. In the same way, Shiv Baba says that we will take full care of our state of mind if we consider ourselves to be on a stage and think as if the eyes of the whole world are upon us. In reality, it is exactly like this: when someone takes godly knowledge and starts giving this introduction to others...

Stability of the Mind in Sangam Yug: Overcoming Maya Through Shiv Baba’s Remembrance

Image
By keeping this drama in mind, one should not, out of fear, amazement, tension, or nervousness, say, “What has happened?” But if someone else says this to us, then we should reply, “Don’t you know what has happened? The Sangam Yug has come, Shiv Baba’s divine birth has taken place, and He has delivered the knowledge via Prajapita Brahma – all this is wonderful.” After saying this, we should then divert our attention toward knowledge. If something serious or thought‑provoking has happened, then instead of using words of fear and tension, we should say, “Something wonderful has happened,” and “This has happened; this is not a problem.” After this, we should lighten the discussion or say, “Whatever has happened, let it go. Now, from this moment, let us fasten our efforts.” By adopting such strategies, the state of the mind will remain stable.     We experience a lot of happiness and stability by remembering these points, which make us fearless and carefree. So why does our state ...

Keeping the Mind Stable

Image
Whatever spiritual knowledge we have studied so far gives us feelings of joy and determination. Yet, after some time, we find that our state of consciousness is disturbed, and our mind begins to fluctuate. Why does this happen, and what should we do?   It is Maya that shakes the stage of our mind. When we are unable to tolerate jealousy, fear, criticism, public insult, obstacles, and problems, or when we are attacked by the vices of lust and anger or by our old sanskars, our mind loses its stability. Differences in nature and opinions, clashes with others, and a lack of inner strength to overcome difficulties—all of these prevent the mind from remaining concentrated. The first target of such influences is our faith, our spiritual connection (yoga), our love for God, and our renunciation. Wherever a person is weak, Maya appears exactly in that form and attacks. Sometimes Maya surrounds a person from every side, tempting him, confusing him, and trying to make him fall and give up. ...

One Fear That Frees You From All Others

Image
Only one kind of fear and one kind of tension is truly beneficial.   All other kinds of fear are troublesome and full of loss, and all other worries are like a funeral pyre. But there is one special fear and one special concern that are beneficial: the fear of being punished by Yam, and the concern to remain in Shiv Baba’s remembrance. In reality, through this elevated fear and this concern, a person is saved from committing wrong actions, performs powerful actions, and frees himself by remembering God. One who keeps just this one fear and this one concern frees himself from all other fears and worries. Step by step, he becomes free from inner disturbance and anxiety. Therefore, a person should decorate himself with the divine ornaments and weapons symbolized by the conch, chakra, mace, lotus, etc. He should see the whole world as a drama, use spiritual knowledge as his armour, and keep firm faith in himself and in God. There is benefit in faith, and victory in determination. Th...

Surrender to God: How Detachment Destroys Fear and Tension

Image
Free from Fear and Tension by Becoming an Observer When we truly understand that “the world is a drama,” we can use this wisdom as a protective armor in practical life. Then, tension and fear lose their power to attack us, and we begin to see everything as a detached observer. We even see our own part in such a way that it feels as if it belongs to someone else, and we ourselves are simply watching as a witness. In that stage, a person is no longer troubled by thoughts like, “I don’t know what will happen” or “How will everything work out?” Instead of being filled with anxiety, he becomes full of powerful, elevated thoughts. While making his best efforts, he remains constantly watchful, detached, and free from wasteful thinking. His inner attitude becomes: “Whatever has to happen will happen. Whatever has happened many times before will happen again. I will watch it all, in the future as well, as an observer.” Many times he has played this part before. Remembering this, he becomes fr...

The Armour of Knowledge: Conquering Fear in the World Drama

Image
We learned about the weapons of knowledge and yoga with which a person can easily overcome the storms of Maya. Yet, even with such powerful weapons, if a person has no shield or protection, a subtle fear still lingers in the mind. That armour : The knowledge of the world drama. The reason for fear and tension is that we repeatedly forget that this world is a drama, a very big movie. Whatever is meant to happen in this drama—whatever scenes were filmed since time immemorial—those very scenes are bound to appear now. This is a repeated drama. Whatever happened in the previous show, which means 5,000 years ago, is bound to happen again now. Nothing different from that is going to happen. Hence, it is said: “It is being made ready; now nothing is made.” No change can be made in this. This film has been made based on our karma. Whatever karma we performed in our previous era has already decided our future. Therefore, whatever has to happen cannot be made impossible by us. So what...
