Recording our destiny in the Confluence Age


 

When someone sits in front of a camera to have their picture taken, they sit carefully, dress neatly, remain still so the photo doesn’t get spoiled, and smile so that the mood in the picture looks good. In the same way, Shiv Baba says that this present time, the most auspicious Confluence Age, is when the film of our actions for future births is being recorded and our destiny is being created. If we keep this awareness, our state of mind will not become restless. By remembering this, our mind will not be disturbed; instead, it will stay stable and peaceful.

Hatha yogis and Tatva yogis say that when people sit for yoga practice, they should sit straight, keep their eyes closed, and not move their bodies. But Shiv Baba says that a Rajyogi should go beyond body-consciousness, should not let the mind waver, and should not merely close the eyes. Rather, while seeing this Kaliyugi world, they should sharpen the focus of the mind. In this way, the state of mind remains steady.

Shiv Baba further explains that in this Ravan Rajya, Maya will attack in demonic ways. Maya will try in many different manners to shake the foundation of faith, just as Ravana’s demonic warriors tried their best to move Angad’s foot. But you must remain unshakable like Angad. In reality, the word ‘Angad’ is formed from ‘Ang’ and ‘Da’. The one who has offered their very being (ang) to the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, is the true Angad. Maya cannot shake such a soul; their step of faith remains firm, and their state of mind remains unmoved.

Therefore, another way to remain stable is that, after surrendering everything—our body, mind, wealth, and all our senses—we become instruments to share Godly knowledge with everyone, like Ram’s messenger, Angad. Then surely Maya will not be able to pull us away from our path, and our state of mind will remain constant and unshakable.
