Body Addiction, Soul’s Loss :The Flavorless world of Kaliyug


 

 This Kaliyugi world has become completely tasteless. When all the juice has been extracted from sugarcane, what is the point of sucking its peel? In the same way, there is no truth left in this world; there is no essence left in it. It has now become totally impure. Just as it is a waste of time to suck the peel of a juiceless sugarcane, likewise, the affairs of this world have become painful. What value remains in them now?

 


In the same way, this body has suffered from many diseases. It is of a very dark and ignorant nature and is steeped in the vice of lust.

 


It is disgusting. Hence, to be egoistic about this dirty and suffering body, or to become addicted to the impure, hollow objects of the senses and thus lose the heavenly state of fortune, is utter stupidity. To lose the state of liberation out of attachment to this mortal body is nothing but preparing to hang upside down from the gallows of DharmRaj. Is this intelligence? No! Hence, we should at once renounce addiction and lust for the objects of the senses; otherwise, it will be like wasting this diamond-like life on mere pennies.
