Thought Pattern to Remain in Spiritual Happiness Without Any External Basis

This world is ever-changing, and everyone inevitably reaps the fruits of their actions. Therefore, a person should play their present role as a detached witness, perform good actions for the future, and remember that circumstances will eventually change, because no day remains the same forever.

Along with this, if a person reflects in this way: “With great wealth come the hassles of maintaining it—bondage, responsibilities, complicated relationships, organization, show, maintenance, and so on.

The intellect of such a person remains constantly engaged in earning, protecting, and using money. As a result, they get very little time to remember God and to earn limitless treasures by focusing their intellect on God. Furthermore, the wealthy often fall into various addictions and lusts through the influence of money. Becoming alienated from God, they trap themselves in vices.
Therefore, I should think that, by not being excessively wealthy, I have a unique advantage.

I have no mansion, no vehicles, no factories, and thus no related complications. My intellect is not scattered here and there. Because of this, I have the special benefit and facility that my mind can easily turn to God alone, and my intellect is ready to hand over its reins to the Supreme Soul, Shiv Baba. I am truly fortunate to receive this opportunity to earn unlimited spiritual wealth.

Many people are inwardly broken by the ego of wealth, and this very wealth will one day turn to dust. In the Satyugi world that is soon to emerge after the great upheavals taking place in this world, we will be truly rich.

God is with those who are humble and simple. Now that we have met the Giver of Knowledge, God Himself, why should we worry?

By imbibing the virtue of contentment during this short period of difficulty—by eating simple food with a happy heart, singing the praise of the Lord, and remaining joyful—we secure our place in the ever-happy Satyugi world. Meanwhile, those wealthy people who remain absorbed in money, with their faces turned away from God, will have to leave all their wealth behind. In this awareness, I realize how fortunate I am.

I am infinitely better off because I have become a student of the Ever-wealthy One (God), and thus an heir to His treasures.''

By contemplating in this way, a person attains deep contentment and spiritual happiness.

This body too can become a cause of discontentment.

It is often said that when a person is afflicted with a severe illness, it becomes difficult for them to remain content and cheerful. Yet, even then, by stabilizing the intellect in God and maintaining elevated thoughts, one can gradually rise above bodily sorrow and experience inner peace.
