Guarding the Mind

In this way, just as a man’s mind is subjected to a variety of pleasures, addictions, and countless thoughts and alternatives, these too must be sacrificed. This little, precious time of Purushottam Sangam Yug that we have—if it is lost in impure thoughts and conflicting alternatives, and in constantly battling them—then when will the time come to experience unlimited happiness and the joy gained from victory over the vices?

By taking these thoughts lightly, we have allowed them to become like guests who visit our mind every day—no, not just that, but like guests who come again and again in different forms, destroying our mental power and consuming all our time meant for invaluable spiritual earnings. Therefore, they must be brought to a halt.

When we have already given our mind to God, why do we allow these devils to enter? When we have already offered these vices, impure thoughts, and alternatives to God—when we have sacrificed ourselves—why do we take back what we have already donated? The one who takes back a donation becomes untouchable.

Therefore, by keeping a strict watch over these influences, we must now stop them from entering our mind. After sacrificing or renouncing something, we must not take back what we have already renounced.

If we have not sacrificed these things at all, then at least reflect: when will you sacrifice them? Or have you not even thought about sacrificing them?

If you do not sacrifice them, will you try to take them with you to Paramdham? You cannot take them there at all, because Paramdham is a place beyond all thoughts and dualities—an absolutely peaceful and pure world. Even then, you will have to leave these things here, in this world and in this body. So for those things that cause sorrow in the beginning, the middle, and the end, why does the heart feel pain when letting them go? How long will we keep nurturing this dirt in our hearts? We look so good from the outside, yet keep impurity within—what kind of decision is this? Why have you postponed this work until tomorrow? Have you taken a guarantee that you will definitely live until tomorrow?

It takes time to remove impure thoughts and habits. That is why, if we do not start our efforts now and remain in pure sanskars and pure thoughts, how will we be able to hold onto purity forever? If we do not remove these now, here, with the help of spiritual knowledge and yoga, then Dharmraj will make us remove them during the time of Mahavinash. For now, God Himself has come to establish a pure world—a world free from impure thoughts and dualities—and to take souls to the pure world (Paramdham). He will definitely complete this task of His.

Therefore, if you act according to His directions and sacrifice these weaknesses, you will receive great fortune as the fruit of this sacrifice. You will claim a royal status according to the extent of your support in Godly service. But if you do not make this effort with happiness, then you will definitely be wasting your future status. Even here, you will remain deprived of the heavenly pleasures that are spoken of so much, and you will also face punishment from Dharmraj.

So decide your destiny now. If you waste time in thinking and delaying, you will lose the chance to create your fortune and will have to experience suffering. Can you not make this small sacrifice for such a great attainment, which brings you benefit millions of times over? Do you not recognize such a rewarding bargain?

See, once you sacrifice these impurities, even in the present you will experience a state beyond waste thoughts, freedom from negative thinking, the karmateet stage, the avyakt stage, and unlimited happiness—and in the future, you will also attain a kingdom.
