Overcoming the Fear of Other People

The fourth type of fear stems from other human beings. Sometimes, people worry that someone might attack or harm them out of enmity. This fear arises largely from a lack of divine virtues.
If a person possesses divine virtues, fewer individuals will feel troubled by him.

Even if some become his enemies, his virtues can turn them into friends, and they may even be willing to sacrifice their lives for him. Ultimately, such a person trusts that with patience, cheerfulness, politeness, service, the power of yoga,

friendliness,

and similar qualities, he can eventually change the attitude of those who initially behaved poorly towards him.
