Understanding the Types of Fear: Navigating Public Shame and Future Anxiety
The next type of fear is the fear of public shame and the tension that comes with criticism. A person may worry, "What will people say about my work?" 🤔 This fear stems from a lack of spiritual strength, knowledge, eloquence, and self-belief. If someone believes that their actions are thoughtful and correct, and that they are ultimately for their own benefit, then they shouldn’t be overly concerned about others' opinions. When a person possesses the ability to articulate their thoughts, develop strategies, and engage in effective communication, they are better equipped to address any negative remarks they might receive. Consequently, a lack of confidence often arises from an inability to create solid strategies. Without this self-confidence and comprehensive knowledge, a person struggles to face others. This fear can lead to anxiety and agitation, as they feel overwhelmed by their perceived inadequacies. 😟
The third type of fear is related to specific situations and anxiety about the future. Sometimes, due to a predisposition to fear, a person may blow a minor issue out of proportion and become anxious. Other times, a genuinely tense situation arises, prompting worries like, "What will happen now? Oh God, what’s going to happen to me?" 😱 For instance, if a mother’s child hasn’t yet returned from school, she might fret unnecessarily, thinking, "Oh no, what if there’s been an accident? There’s a river nearby; could he have jumped in, or could someone have pushed him?" 🌊 This attachment fosters a sense of fear and distorts her judgment.
Such judgment amplifies fear, causing the heart to race, and in extreme cases, this anxiety could be life-threatening. 💔 Because of their ingrained fear, some people tend to exaggerate minor situations, thereby letting the "devil of fear" take hold. However, some circumstances genuinely warrant concern. For example, if a man discovers that the bank where he has deposited his savings has gone bankrupt, he might panic, thinking, "What will happen to my money now?" 💸 Similarly, a person sitting on a rooftop might experience sheer terror during a significant earthquake. 🌍 This type of fear often stems from attachment, addiction, and a fear of facing consequences for one's actions.
