Living Showcases of God's Knowledge


 

But Shiv Baba also says that anyone who keeps something in the showcase of their shop keeps it neat, well-groomed, and attractive, so that it can be shown as a sample. In the same way, we must understand that all the knowledge-yagyas and knowledge centres which God has established for us are like showcases. God has set them up so that, by seeing us, liking our conduct, and being inspired by our example, another soul can gather the courage and make the sankalp to accept God’s knowledge.

Therefore, we carry a great responsibility to make our lives living examples and keep them "on display" in the right way. If we willingly accept different types of responsibilities, renounce all demerits, and adopt divine virtues, then our life will surely become filled with excellence, stability, and constancy. This is certain.

A human being should spend life as a collector of virtues; there lies his true welfare. When a rope is burnt, it turns to ashes, yet even then, the shape of the threads from which it was woven remains clearly visible. That power does not go away. In the same way, there are many people in this world who, due to deceit, dishonesty, fraud, and other weaknesses, suffer a lot, but still their bad habits do not leave them. People of such nature are like animals: just as animals remain tied to their ropes, they remain tied to their vices and bad habits.
